What We Do
Project Fit America (PFA) creates and administers exemplary fitness in education programming in elementary and middle schools. Under this umbrella we address self-esteem, fitness and exercise as fun, understanding their body, as well as, leadership, sportsmanship and character development. Our mission is to help get kids fit and to create programs that assure every child will find something at which they are very good at and inspire them to participate in more fitness activities. We create the opportunity for all kids, not just the already gifted athletes, to discover, explore, improve and be recognized for their physical, mental and fitness efforts and performance.
PE Conferences:
As of 2026 we are in our fourth year of hosting Regional PE Conferences in Mississippi. Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Mississippi Foundation gives us a grant to sponsor these events and the subsequent equipment donations. A total of 60 PE Teachers from different schools attend each year. These teachers represent over 24,000 students! We host a Conference in the Northern Region, one in the Central Region and one in the Southern Region.
Teachers participate in a day of participating and learning PFA lessons, games and fitness activities they bring back to their students. The Conferences are free to the teachers, lunch is provided and also free CEU’s for attending. In addition, we donate to each teacher approximately $2,000 in PE equipment and lesson plan supplies so they have everything they need to go back to their schools and starting implementing all the exciting lessons and activities they learned. One school at each conference also wins an American Ninja Warrior Day. In the spring our American Ninja Warrior Fitness Ambassadors to spend the day with working out and challenging the students in a wide variety of fitness activities.
Nearly 100% of the Teacher evaluations give our Conferences a 10 out of 10 with many teachers expressing it was the best professional development they have ever attended!
