Students at Harrison Central Elementary celebrate ‘Ninja Warrior Day’
HARRISON COUNTY, Miss. – Harrison Central Elementary students began their fitness journey with a little help from a real-life American Ninja Warrior. Thursday morning, Ryan Stratis led students through obstacle challenges after the school won a statewide fitness drawing. This event was made possible through Project Fit America and the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of the Mississippi Foundation.
Ninja Warrior Day held at Mannsdale Elementary
Mannsdale — Ninja Warrior Day at Mannsdale Elementary was about keeping kids fit. Dorian Cedars from the NBC Television Show "American Ninja Warrior" came to lead the students in physical activities and competitions. The event was held in the gymnasium on April 16 and sponsored by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Mississippi.

MISSION, TEXAS – Mission CISD’s Lucille Pearson Elementary Sports/Health Academy celebrated the launch of its new fitness program today, made possible by a $26,000 Project Fit America (PFA) grant funded by The Valley Baptist Legacy Foundation. The event featured a ribbon-cutting ceremony and live demonstrations by students showcasing the program’s innovative fitness equipment and dynamic physical education curriculum.
Two Donna ISD schools awarded $26K fitness grant
Summit — DONNA, Texas (ValleyCentral)—Two Donna schools have been awarded the Project Fit America grant to fund fitness equipment and curriculum. J.W. Caceres Intermediate Discovery Academy and C. Stainke Elementary were awarded $26,000 per school, funded by the Valley Baptist Legacy Foundation. The Project Fit America fund aims to promote innovative fitness in elementary and middle school schools across the nation.
Summit Elementary School selected for American Ninja Warrior Field Day
Summit — MS, Summit Elementary School’s PE teacher, Takeya Felder, was one of three schools selected out of 60 P.E. teachers for an American Ninja Warrior Field Day. Project Fit America Fitness Ambassador, Dorian Cedars, a contestant on the NBC show American Ninja Warrior, visited Summit Elementary School during the school’s field day. Cedars’ visit was sponsored by the Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Mississippi Foundation.
W.B. Simpson Elementary School selected for physical education grant
WYOMING — GOLO, the Delaware-based health and wellness solutions company, and Project Fit America, a national non-profit that creates and administers fitness in education programming for elementary and middle schools, announces W.B. Simpson Elementary School will be the recipient of a grant to support its physical education curriculum.
BCBSNE, Project Fit America bring new ways to stay active to Hitchcock County Elementary
Hitchcock County Elementary is the eighth Nebraska school since 2013 to receive equipment and curriculum from BCBSNE and Project Fit America. “After missing a few years due to COVID-19, we are so excited to be back providing students across Nebraska with crucial physical education resources,” said Nellor. “I can’t wait to see what the future holds for this partnership and which community we get to visit next.”
STAYING FIT AT SILAS WILLARD ELEMENTARY SCHOOL!
OSF Healthcare Pediatric Wellness Specialist, Hannah Landis, partnered with Project Fit America to bring the "fit pit equipment" to Silas for students to use during Physical Education class. Hannah said the program's main focus is to bring fitness into education. The curriculum places a strong emphasis on increasing each student's confidence and empowering them to make healthy behavior decisions.
Springfield school receives grant for new gym equipment
An elementary school in Springfield is finding new ways to keep kids fit. Enos Elementary, along with HSHS St. John's Hospital, celebrated Project Fit America.
