BATTLING POOR HEALTH HABITS – Graves County Central Elementary School’s knight mascot cuts the ribbon to dedicate the school’s new outdoor fitness equipment. Holding the paper-link chain, at right, is ceremony emcee Al Chandler. From left, are third grader Paitlin Wyatt; physical education student teacher Jennifer Becker; and representatives of Western Baptist Hospital: Dr. Patrick Withrow, medical director of the new Baptist Heart Center; Bonnie Schrock, vice-president of patient services; and Dona Rains, the hospital’s marketing director. Western Baptist donated the equipment in collaboration with Project Fit America. PFA is a national, non-profit organization formed in 1990 and dedicated to helping children to be physically fit. PFA administers grants that its sponsors donate to schools, grades K-12. Western Baptist made a similar donation to Paducah’s McNabb Elementary School.
